Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment operates reliably and to identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices and training. The role requires overseeing all shifts, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

We offer on-the-job training, a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed, and opportunities for growth within a rapidly growing organization.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform welding for repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facilities and production assets.
• Follow manuals, schematics and specifications per schedule.
• Test boiler chemical and wastewater pretreatment systems and adjust as needed.
• Manage and assign maintenance work and oversee shifts.
• Ensure safety, regulatory and environmental compliance in maintenance.
• Train and develop maintenance staff and manage budget with Production Manager.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
