Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment functions efficiently and to identify areas to improve maintenance practices. The role operates on a Monday–Friday schedule with potential night and weekend overtime, and on-the-job training is provided.

The successful candidate will diagnose problems, supervise maintenance staff, manage budgets, and ensure safety/compliance while using a CMMS system.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment; 2+ years supervising.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and identify corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Manage maintenance budget and staffing with the Production Manager.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance in the maintenance department.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Train and develop maintenance staff.
