Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment operates efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role supports training for maintenance staff, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional night/weekend overtime.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues via blueprints, testing machinery, welding for repairs, PLC troubleshooting, and enforcing safety and regulatory standards. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with technical training.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in production.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding for facility repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Manage all preventive maintenance for facility and production assets.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance in maintenance.
• Monitor training status of technicians and schedule trainings.
• Develop and manage budget for building, equipment, and parts/labor.
