UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment runs efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, planning preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production management. The job includes on-the-job training and a Monday–Friday work week with occasional night/weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Minimum of 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Minimum of 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Overtime flexibility as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding for facility repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow schedules using blueprints and manufacturer instructions.
• Manage maintenance across shifts and assign work.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance within the maintenance department.
• Utilize CMMS to track maintenance activities and parts inventory.
• Coordinate with Production Manager on budget and capital expenditures.
