Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at our properties, ensuring timely upkeep of buildings and grounds. You will manage day-to-day tasks, preventative maintenance, and vendor coordination to keep communities safe and welcoming.

The role requires HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, plus supervisory experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay and robust benefits, including time-off and retirement

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge required.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate power tools.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in property maintenance/handyman.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Schedule and supervise vendor work.
• Maintain inventory and ordering of supplies for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs from evictions and 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
