Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and oversee property upkeep, repairs, and safety compliance. The role involves coordinating daily tasks, preparing units for occupancy, and supervising vendor work.

Responsibilities include training staff, managing inventory, ensuring OSHA safety, and handling on-call service requests. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge required.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team accountable to ensure attendance and performance.
• Schedule and supervise vendor work.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds departments.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
