Job summary

Homestead of Weatherford is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee repairs, grounds, and facilities at the Community. The role ensures buildings and systems are safe, compliant, and well-maintained, reporting to the Executive Director.

You’ll manage budgets, staff, and emergencies, while upholding resident dignity and safety standards. The position requires hands-on maintenance, coordinating with staff, and safeguarding the environment for residents and visitors alike.

Qualifications

• Regular worksite attendance.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
• Must be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Executive Director, RCC or Unit Manager.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignity.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Maintain community grounds free from hazards, debris and clutter; sidewalks and drives clear.
• Maintain building including painting, repairing fixtures and hardware, and general upkeep.
• Ensure electrical systems and appliances are in working order; plumbing in good repair.
• Organize and inspect fire drills and safety equipment on a regular schedule.
• Maintain community equipment such as washers, dryers, boilers, ACs, furnaces and lawn mowers.
• Assist staff in moving residents and furniture when needed.
• Ensure 24-hour availability of maintenance emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and Residents’ Rights.
• Staff the maintenance department, hire/orient/discipline staff, and manage budgets within approved limits.
