Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to ensure the interior and exterior areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality across the community. You will diagnose issues, perform routine upkeep, and manage make-ready processes for vacant units, coordinating with vendors and maintaining inventory.

The role requires a high school diploma, hands-on trade experience, tool proficiency, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools and safely use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team members.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders generated from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units, scheduling vendors and preparing punch lists.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas.
• Inspects work by others and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and materials; coordinates with Community Manager on supplies and budget.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policy.
