Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold the quality of inside and external buildings, grounds, and amenities in our community. You will address resident requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs following safety standards.

The role includes coordinating make-ready tasks, inspecting work, and supporting budget-oriented maintenance planning. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, practical maintenance experience, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related training.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices safely.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and diagnose defects to perform repairs per policy.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and inspect work.
• Maintain grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work by others and contractors to ensure quality and cost control.
• Manage inventory of parts and assist in budgeting for repairs.
• Participate in monthly preventive maintenance and safety meetings.
