Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical work ensuring the community meets company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will manage routine upkeep, inspect vendor work, and assist with budgets and preventive maintenance.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in property maintenance, with a focus on building exteriors, grounds, and resident services. Monday–Friday schedule; housing discount and quarterly bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and staff.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep of the community.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exterior, interiors and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by service team members and contractors for quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage budgets in coordination with the Community Manager.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and support cost-control programs.
