Job summary

Greystar is seeking a property maintenance supervisor to oversee technical work ensuring the community’s buildings, grounds and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Role includes managing make-ready processes, vendor coordination, budget support, and adherence to Greystar safety policies. Position requires 3–5 years of supervision experience and relevant certifications, with housing discount included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Good customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Develops and maintains standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and shared spaces to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by staff and contractors and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordination with Community Manager on supplies and budgets.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policies.
• Assists in developing budgets for regular repairs and capital projects.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when feasible and using tools properly.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures OSHA and safety compliance across the community.
