Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift (1:30 PM–9:30 PM, M–F) to support production through preventive maintenance and team leadership. You will monitor safety, quality, and efficiency while coaching the maintenance crew to resolve problems quickly.

Ideal candidates have strong problem solving, experience with precision measurement, and solid computer skills (MS Office).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma with maintenance experience; 3-5 years preferred.
• Ability to lead a maintenance team and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance processes with accuracy and discipline.
• Coaches and assists employees with problem solving.
• Trains and maintains training records.
• Ensures quality standards are met and preventive maintenance is performed on time.
• Pays close attention to safety, housekeeping, performance, and instructions from management.
• Conducts incident reporting and root-cause investigations for injuries or Near Misses.
• Monitors attendance and enforces handbook policies.
• Leads maintenance team to align with safety, quality, performance, and attendance expectations.
• Supports team with daily task completion.
• Conducts toolbox talks daily for clear communication.
