Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift (1:30 PM – 9:30 PM, M-F) at our Spartanburg, SC plant. The role supports production with preventive maintenance, safety, and quality compliance, leading a team of technicians and ensuring timely, accurate execution of maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of related experience or a 4-year degree with 3–5 years in maintenance, strong problem-solving, and proficiency in blueprint reading and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training.
• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university or HS Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintains high performance standards and integrity in work.
• Strong teamwork and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to adapt to change and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance processes with accuracy and discipline.
• Coaches and assists all employees with problem solving.
• Teaches, trains, and keeps records of training.
• Ensures all quality standards are met and preventive maintenance is performed on schedule.
• Monitors safety, housekeeping, and performance of the maintenance team.
• Conducts toolbox talks and documents incidents and root-cause analyses.
