Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, M–F) at the plant. You will support production, preventive maintenance, and safety initiatives while leading a maintenance team in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in maintenance, a Bachelor’s Degree or a HS Diploma with maintenance background, and strong problem-solving and blueprint-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university or HS Diploma/GED with 3–5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintains high standards of performance and takes responsibility for actions and results.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by listening, staying focused, and monitoring progress.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance processes with detailed accuracy and discipline.
• Coach and assist all employees with problem solving.
• Train and keep accurate records of training.
• Ensure all quality standards are met.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are performed properly and on time.
• Maintain attention to safety, housekeeping, quality, performance, and employee well-being.
• Report incidents and investigate root causes for injuries and near misses.
• Monitor attendance and administer disciplinary action per the handbook.
• Oversee maintenance team operations in safety, quality, performance, and attendance.
• Support team members with daily task completion.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks to ensure clear communication.
