Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift at the Spartanburg, SC plant. You will assist the Department Manager with planning and executing maintenance work to support production, preventive maintenance, and other tasks.

You will monitor quality, safety, and efficiency while creating a positive work environment and solving problems as a team. The role requires hands-on leadership, coaching, and accurate training records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university or HS Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance processes with detailed accuracy, and discipline.
• Coaches and assist all employees with problem solving.
• Teaches, trains, and keeps accurate records of training.
• Ensures all quality standards are met and preventive maintenance is performed properly and on time.
• Pays close attention to detail: safety, housekeeping, quality, and performance.
• Incidents reporting and investigation of root causes for injuries and near misses on tools.
• Monitors attendance and applies disciplinary actions per handbook.
• Conducts toolbox talks daily to ensure clear communication.
• Supports team members with completion of daily tasks and rotates through maintenance responsibilities to support plant flow.
