Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician B to diagnose multi-system issues and perform maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. You’ll service chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, HVAC, suspension, and drive train, with opportunities for on‑the‑road servicing and training in new technologies.

The role requires 3–5 years in a technician position, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work on a single fleet with state‑of‑the‑art

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform preventative/repair maintenance.
• 3–5 years of experience in a technician role with gasoline and diesel systems, or graduate of automotive college/technical school within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License; ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus; CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics and electrical systems on trucks.
• Repair light engine, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC and braking systems; perform line welding/fabrication as needed.
• Safely provide road service; identify malfunctions using electronic tools; complete training programs.
