Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, and HVAC systems. The role involves on-site and road service to keep our fleet running efficiently and safely.

You will work under supervision and gain exposure to advanced technologies while supporting our drivers and community through reliable vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of experience in a technician role with gasoline and diesel knowledge.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking and suspension systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic line welding and fabrication.
• Provide road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
