Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with on-site and road service to keep fleet operations running smoothly.
The role requires experience with heavy-duty vehicles, basic engine/HVAC work, and adherence to safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 light/medium/heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge and performs preventative/repair maintenance on chassis components, refuse bodies, braking systems, suspension, driveline and steering.
- Repairs light engine components, HVAC, electrical and hydraulic systems; performs welding and fabrication.
- Provides road service when needed to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Identifies malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training programs.
