Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Illinois to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, and air/brake systems. The role supports drivers and maintains a modern fleet with state-of-the-art equipment.

You will work under supervision, tackle new challenges daily, and participate in training programs while pursuing growth in a stable industry with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues in gasoline and diesel equipment.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks or equivalent maintenance background.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Repair chassis, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Safely provide on-site and road service when needed to keep vehicles in operation.
• Complete required company training and stay current with procedures.
