Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will work on heavy-duty trucks, perform engine and HVAC work, and assist drivers on routes with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include chassis and body systems maintenance, light engine work, and on-road service. ASE&T1-T8 certifications are a plus; CDL is a plus. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems; performs preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and hydraulic/electrical systems; and air/brake systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain, steering.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Welding and fabrication.
• Safely provides road service when needed.
• Identifies malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Completes required training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Multi-system diagnosis

Work-order familiarity

Truck maintenance (Classes 1-8)

ASE certs (T1-T8) optional

CDL is a plus

5 years technician exp

Valid driver’s license

Education

Accredited automotive college/technical school
