Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, braking, HVAC, suspension, and drive train components. The role includes on-site and road service to keep trucks in service and drivers on route.
Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience or recent automotive technical training, ASE certifications a plus, and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of work order labor time standards.
- Experience or training on Class 1-5 and 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
- ASE certifications are a plus; CDL is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicles on-site and on the road.
- Repair chassis components, refuse bodies and braking systems.
- Handle light engine repair, HVAC, suspension, and drive train tasks.
- Provide road service and ensure equipment is safely returned to operation.
