Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager in Washington, DC area to lead on-site maintenance operations and ensure high-quality service to residents and communities. The role requires hands-on maintenance expertise, strong leadership, and flexibility for on-call and weekend coverage.

You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, oversee make-ready processes, and uphold safety and building standards while delivering outstanding experiences to residents and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the trades, facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Leading by example and being a role model for Bozzuto's standards and culture.
• Showing care for residents through timely follow ups and service ticket completion.
• Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Managing make-ready and turnover processes to facilitate leasing and move-ins.
• Implementing preventative maintenance programs to preserve building value.
• Maintaining building safety and cleanliness, including snow removal and grounds upkeep.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards; operating in on-call rotation.
