Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support planning and scheduling of field maintenance at the Morenci copper mining operation.

You will work with area supervisors, ERS, and the SAP system to ensure readiness, allocate parts, and schedule activities across the site. The role requires knowledge of Maintenance Planning, understanding of mining/process equipment, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four years field maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations, OR two years planning experience.
• Associates in technical field with two years related maintenance or planning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in technical field with one year related maintenance or planning experience.
• General knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
• Basic understanding of Mining and/or Process Equipment.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of maintenance management systems and related applications.
• Demonstrated written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the area Supervisor in all facets of job preparation, execution and follow up.
• Interact with ERS to establish and monitor planned schedules; review and schedule work orders.
• Responsible for Runtime Forecasting process execution and outcomes.
• Develop, monitor and adjust schedules and maintain in the management system.
• Execute and maintain history for all activities in SAP.
• Engage with onsite Global Supply Chain to control warehouse levels and storage conditions.
• Prepare scopes of work and interface with vendors; coordinate with Global Supply Chain.
• Collaborate with senior Planners for major production shutdowns.
• Maintain data integrity in SAP to meet planning objectives.
• Provide data for maintenance budgets and weekly forecasts; generate reports.
