Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan's Safford operation in southeastern Arizona is seeking a Maintenance Planner to lead planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, maintain SAP data and collaborate with site supervisors. You will forecast runtimes, host planning meetings, and ensure materials readiness in a 24/7 operation.

The role requires strong knowledge of Maintenance Planning, mining or industrial operations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 6 years of field maintenance or planning experience.
• Associates in a technical field with 4 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 2 years of related experience.
• Understanding of concepts and workflow of Maintenance Planning/Scheduling
• Understanding of mining and/or processing equipment function
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of maintenance management systems and associated applications.
• Demonstrated professional/effective written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload activities by planning, scheduling, measuring, and analyzing maintenance activities in collaboration with site supervisors.
• Manage and maintain the integrity of the information management systems to achieve planning objectives.
• Establish and monitor planned schedules; conduct planning meetings with stakeholders; review and schedule work orders.
• Execute Runtime Forecasting process outcomes in assigned area and mentor Planner I personnel.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules in SAP and other systems.
• Collaborate with other Planners and supervisors for long-range scheduling including shutdowns and resource planning.
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports for site management to measure KPIs.
