Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Chino, NM, is seeking a maintenance planning professional to support the area Supervisor with planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance activities in a 36,000-metric-ton-per-day concentrator and related facilities.

The role requires strong knowledge of maintenance planning, field maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing, and proficiency with SAP. Candidates should have a technical background and solid communication skills; a 24/7 operation may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and four years field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Four years related field maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations including two years of planning experience.
• Four years of planning experience in field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Associates in technical field and two years related experience in field maintenance or planning.
• Bachelor's degree in technical field and one year related experience or planning experience.
• General knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
• Basic understanding of Mining/Process Equipment.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.
• Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the area Supervisor in job preparation, execution and follow-up per Freeport-McMoRan standards.
• Interact with ERS to establish and monitor planned schedules and participate in planning meetings.
• Responsible for Runtime Forecasting processes in the assigned area.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules and maintain them in the management system.
• Maintain history for all activities in the SAP system.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain to manage warehouse levels and storage conditions.
• Prepare scopes of work and interface with vendors for services and equipment.
• Collaborate with senior planners and supervisors for major production shutdowns.
• Ensure data integrity in SAP to meet planning objectives.
• Provide data to support maintenance management decisions and budgets.
