Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Safford, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support field maintenance planning in a 24/7 mining operation. You will work with supervisors, forecast runtimes, create and adjust schedules, and ensure SAP is kept up to date.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus four years in field maintenance or planning; or associates or bachelor’s in a technical field with related experience; strong knowledge of maintenance planning and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations.
• General knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
• Basic understanding of Mining and/or Process Equipment.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated professional/effective written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the area Supervisor in all facets of job preparation, execution and follow up as prescribed by Freeport-McMoRan standards.
• Interact with the Supervisor to establish and monitor planned schedules for activities; participate in planning meetings; review, prioritize and schedule work orders.
• Execute Runtime Forecasting; develop, monitor and adjust schedules; maintain records in the SAP system.
• Engage with Global Supply Chain to control warehouse stock and storage conditions.
• Prepare scopes of work for internal/external jobs; interface with vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with senior Planners and first-line Supervisors for major production shutdowns.
