Job summary

Magna International is seeking a maintenance-focused professional in Michigan to develop and maintain robotic and welding systems. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, purchasing interactions with vendors, and strong data skills to analyze costs and performance.

You will coordinate with production planning, manage spare parts, and drive improvements while handling safety and confidentiality. The position is on-site with regular shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance setting dealing with robots and welding.
• Experience in purchasing and dealing with outside vendors.
• Excellent math skills for cost analysis and data interpretation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Inventory management experience including lead times, min/max, and reorder levels.
• Willingness to be crossed-trained in all skilled trade disciplines.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.
• Issues work orders and ensures parts are available.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with Planning.
• Tracks maintenance-related KPIs and CI objectives.
• Orders and tracks equipment and spare parts in the MRO inventory.
• Works with vendors on delivery lead times and parts availability.
• Maintains effective communication with other departments to meet targets.
