Job Summary:

The maintenance planner aims to enhance workforce productivity and quality by strategically planning and scheduling all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections. The goal is to ensure optimal equipment uptime and minimize disruptions through developing planned work orders and coordinating with maintenance technicians for efficient execution. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of technical school in electrical, PLCs, hydraulics & pneumatics
• Minimum five years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting, emphasizing PLCs, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
• Experience in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drive systems, and electrical controls
• PLC and controls experience, preferably with Allen Bradley
• Understanding or certification in PdM Technologies
• Fluid handling expertise, especially hydraulics

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Extrusion background (preferred but not required)
• Strong continuous improvement skills
• Teamwork and communication skills across all employee levels
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to follow detailed instructions

Job Responsibilities:

• Promote a safety-first culture for all employees
• Inform Maintenance Manager and Supervisor of critical situations and seek advice when needed
• Develop and publish weekly maintenance schedules
• Assign and deliver work orders aligned with the schedule
• Ensure timely closure of work orders
• Administer the CMMS system and provide training as necessary
• Travel up to 10% for training and off-site requirements
