Job summary

Acme Barricades is seeking a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on roadway projects in Tampa. You will set up and maintain MOT devices, coordinate detours and lane closures, and ensure safety compliance while serving on-site clients and teams.

Requires at least 2 years in MOT/temporary traffic control, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related industry (i.e. Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction)
• High School Diploma/GED and be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally
• Advanced MOT Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up/maintain MOT devices and signs.
• Manage MOT activity, detours, and lane closures.
• Coordinate with on-site client representatives.
• Load/unload equipment from trucks.
• Deliver/pick up equipment from jobsites.
• Coordinate crew to follow MOT guidelines.
• Recommend improvements for traffic maintenance.
• Complete daily reports.
• If licensed, drive company vehicle per MVR standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
