Macy's in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to keep our warehouse operations running safely and efficiently. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment, conveyors, and related warehouse machinery, helping reduce downtime and maintain high productivity.

This role requires a high school diploma and 1-2 years of maintenance experience, with good English reading and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policies in English.
• Regular, dependable attendance with a flexible schedule.
• Basic math and measurement calculations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment, conveyors, battery changers, and related warehouse machinery.
• Observe operating machines to diagnose malfunctions and determine repairs.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, rebuild, assemble, and test equipment and parts.
• Use shop tools (grinders, drill presses, welding equipment) to repair metal parts.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow Macy's safety standards.
