Macy's is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to keep our distribution centers running smoothly. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and document work across conveyors, sorters, and related systems to ensure safety and reliability.

This hands-on role requires problem-solving, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. You will use maintenance software, maintain tools and parts, and contribute to uptime, safety, and overall operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct maintenance experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
• Basic computer skills and use of maintenance systems to document work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment including conveyors and sorters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and daily inspections of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• Document repairs, parts usage, and equipment needs using maintenance systems.
• Collaborate with leaders and vendors to resolve maintenance issues.
