Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps at our Aberdeen, MD facility. You will diagnose AC/DC electrical systems, support equipment reliability, and respond quickly to maintenance calls to keep production safe and efficient.

This full-time role requires weekend/holiday work, physical stamina, and the ability to operate in high-temperature and noisy environments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays
• Able to lift 15–50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods
• Able to work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous and loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and testing equipment
• Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability
• Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action
• Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to maximize equipment efficiency, safety, and reliability

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older

Helpful Experience

• Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring (480V 3-phase motors)
• Multi-craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical systems and mechanical systems)
