Georgia-Pacific Mt. Jewett MDF in Mt. Jewett, PA is hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead reliability initiatives, oversee preventive maintenance, and partner with operations to maximize asset availability at the Mt. Jewett facility.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, 3+ years in supervision, and strong RCA/problem-solving skills, plus ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings; focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance field in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• A minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience using CMMS, MS Office (MS Word, Excel) for reports and analysis.
• Able to read mechanical, structural and electrical drawings; with broad mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Experience leading Maintenance, Reliability, and Predictive/Preventive Maintenance.
• Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or similar problem‑solving tools.
• Knowledgeable in conveyor systems, hydraulics, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the maintenance department to meet safety, quality, cost and customer service objectives.
• Lead and support preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting.
• Promote safety and ensure personal accountability for safe work practices.
• Develop maintenance and improvement strategies within goals and budgets.
• Help employees understand customers and how their work affects mill profits/losses.
• Ensure application of GP Operating and Maintenance Standards.
• Collaborate with other leaders to improve year over year results.
• Meet with direct reports to share knowledge and enhance skills.
• Support culture changes through tools and processes.
