Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Mt. Jewett MDF facility seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead advanced reliability initiatives and preventive maintenance optimization. You will coach technicians, partner with operations, and drive asset performance across safety, quality, cost, and service metrics.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on plant maintenance experience, and the ability to develop maintenance strategies aligned with GP standards. Collaboration with mill leaders is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance field within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Minimum of 3 years in supervisory/management roles.
• Proficient with CMMS and MS Office; able to prepare reports and analyze data.
• Able to read mechanical, structural and electrical drawings with broad machinery knowledge.
• Experience leading maintenance, reliability, and predictive/preventive maintenance efforts.
• Experience using Root Cause Analysis or similar problem-solving tools.
• Knowledge of conveyors, hydraulics, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the maintenance department to meet safety, quality, cost, and customer service goals.
• Lead and support preventative maintenance programs; provide technical troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Ensure safety leadership and accountability across the maintenance area.
• Develop and implement maintenance and improvement strategies within budget.
• Collaborate with operations to improve backlog health and asset availability and lifecycle performance.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to share knowledge and improve skills.
• Promote Principles Based Management and a culture of continuous improvement.
