Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Safety Manager for the Mt. Jewett MDF facility in Mt. Jewett, Pennsylvania. You will lead safety direction, drive culture change, and ensure risk is aggressively identified and mitigated.

You will train leaders and employees, manage OSHA/compliance, and support capital projects to maintain a safe workplace. This role reports to the facility manager with a dotted-line to the Division S&H Manager.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• Experience in leading culture change and developing/managing safety systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and direction in establishing and achieving a meaningful safety vision and effective strategies.
• Mentor, coach, and develop direct and indirect reports to build skills and performance.
• Promote a safety culture and drive Path to Zero Safety Strategy.
• Drive safety initiatives, training, and program management.
• Lead risk assessment methods to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazards and mitigate gaps.
• Manage compliance with OSHA, state/local regulations, and company standards.
• Develop and implement prevention and recovery controls for facility risk.
• Recommend engineering/design changes to reduce risk (guards, ergonomics, etc.).
• Oversee safe work practices and capital project safety execution.
• Identify safety development and training needs and drive continuous improvement.
