Job summary

Georgia-Pacific seeks a Maintenance Electrician for our Green Bay Broadway facility. This hands-on role maintains electrical, instrumentation, and automated systems, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motors, and power distribution while improving equipment reliability.

The position involves a 12-hour swing shift (2-2-3) with a $7/hour shift premium and occasional overtime to meet mill needs. Collaborative safety-focused environment with strong team engagement.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of electrical experience in industrial/manufacturing/military settings.
• Journeyman Electrician with manufacturing experience.
• Technical degree in electrical or instrumentation field.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical, instrumentation, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and prints for troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Troubleshoot controls and automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motors, and related equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and calibrate instrumentation (pressure, level, flow, temperature, etc.).
• Perform preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance to improve reliability.
• Follow safety and environmental guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate maintenance activities and equipment conditions with team members and stakeholders.
