Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our Green Bay Broadway facility. This hands-on role involves working with pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, rotating equipment, and other mill machinery. You will troubleshoot, repair, and enhance equipment reliability while following safety guidelines.

The position operates on a 2-2-3, 12-hour swing shift with a $7/hour shift premium. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Technical degree in mechanical or industrial maintenance.
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical manufacturing equipment to support reliable operation.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical failures, and identify appropriate repairs.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications to support troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures while supporting a safe workplace.
• Communicate maintenance activities and equipment conditions with team members and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability across the mill.
