Job summary

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor to perform janitorial and maintenance tasks, maintain grounds, and oversee inventory.

The role includes minor repairs on building and grounds equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, and carpentry/drywall work as needed, with emphasis on safety and compliance within the workplace.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and four years of experience in equipment, building, and grounds maintenance.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Good driving record required.

• Performing janitorial and maintenance task according to agency guidelines and expectations.
• Maintaining the grounds.
• Maintain and monitor inventory of all cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Perform minor repairs and upgrades on building and grounds equipment, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and perform minor carpentry/drywall work to repair or improve facilities whenever possible.
• Review maintenance schedules and ensure agency vehicles receive timely service, inspections, and necessary repairs according to department guidelines.
• Train and oversee consumers with a vocational objective focused on janitorial and maintenance careers.
• Initiate and oversee preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment, facilities, and vehicles remain in optimal working conditions.
• Follow safety practices and actively participate as a member of the area's safety committee o ensure compliance of all safety regulations in the workplace.

• High School diploma and four years of experience in equipment, building, and grounds maintenance.
