Job summary

SPG, a Chattanooga-based manufacturing partner, seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to support the Maintenance Manager in driving plant performance. You will help maintain equipment reliability, safety standards, and operational efficiency across the facility.

Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, leading training, overseeing inventories, and coordinating with shift teams to meet KPI targets. This role requires hands-on knowledge of electrical, PLC, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in

Qualifications

• Experience in corrugate industry with converting machinery.
• Experience with converting machinery used in corrugate manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and PLC knowledge; mechanical and pneumatic systems experience.

Location: Chattanooga, TN | Schedule: full-time, on-site

Overview

An established manufacturer in the corrugate industry, specializing in the conversion of paper to box, is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support department leadership and help drive plant performance. This role plays a key part in maintaining equipment reliability, safety standards, and operational efficiency within the facility.

What you'll do

• Report to the Maintenance Manager to help lead department goals and KPIs
• Oversee department inventories and budgeting to ensure adequate needs are met and kept within proper thresholds
• Lead personnel through training and development standards to improve safety, machinery performance, and plant downtime
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with operational tasks such as scheduling, shift meetings, and goal management

Required qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, and/or require no sponsorship of any kind now or in the future
• Experience within the corrugate industry, including experience with specific converting machinery used in the industry
• Corrugate industry experience including a facility that leads in the conversion of paper to box
• Strong electrical and PLC knowledge as well as mechanical and pneumatic systems experience

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years in a supervisory and/or Team Lead role with industry experience
