Job summary

Valiant Residential in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold the property's safety and upkeep. You will help with service requests, routine maintenance, and inspections, coordinating with the leasing team to maximize renewals.

A two-year maintenance background and a high school diploma are required; EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification is a plus.
• EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours whenever possible and manage the system for handling resident requests.
• Assist in safety compliance and ensure work aligns with company policies and laws.
• Distribute flyers and maintain safety materials; keep records of preventive maintenance and make-readies.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance on equipment; inspect and maintain tools.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, lighting, doors, and fixtures.
