Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and help keep the property’s physical integrity. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the leasing team to maximize renewals.

Required are 2+ years in apartment maintenance, a high school diploma, and EPA refrigerant certification. The position calls for English communication and a willingness to travel and work some weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basics in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours when possible.
• Assist in managing the system for handling resident service requests and on-call rotations.
• Maintain safety materials and property conditions, and correct unsafe conditions promptly.
• Keep accurate records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacant apartments.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools for good condition.
• Assist in preparing the property for inspections and support the property manager as needed.
