Job summary

Equity Residential in Atlanta is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community in top condition. Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and common areas, preparing market-ready apartments, and handling resident service requests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Weekend and on-call availability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own smartphone with updated software for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining physical condition of community grounds, exterior, and common areas.
• Preparing market-ready apartments, including painting and general repairs.
• Responding to resident service requests promptly.
• Performing maintenance tasks such as exterior light bulb changes and equipment maintenance.
• Assisting other service staff with projects, including apartment cleaning and drywalling.
