Job summary

EITACIES Inc. in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Mainframe Operator / Level 1 Incident Manager to handle critical IT incidents onsite. You will monitor mainframe consoles, triage issues, and coordinate with IT staff, customers, and vendors to resolve events efficiently.

The role requires 5+ years with IBM Mainframe and monitoring tools, plus strong communication skills and the ability to work varied shifts including holidays. Onsite work and lifting requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical incidents/events relating to IT technology.
• Quickly create, escape, triage and track customer technology related incidents and communicate with IT staff, customers and vendors.
• Utilize graphical monitoring systems to track availability and status of infrastructure, assets and services.
• Monitors mainframe control consoles and assists with review/validation of mainframe job control language.
• Perform deliveries as assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Applicants could be requested to work holidays, days, afternoons and/or midnight shifts.

Job Description

• Functions as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical incidents/events relating to various IT technology.
• Quickly create, escape, triage and track customer technology related incidents. Excellent communication skills necessary to collaborate with IT staff, customers and vendors.
• Utilize graphical monitoring systems tracking availability and status of infrastructure connectivity, assets and services.
• Monitors mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance. May assist with the review/validation of mainframe job control language.
• Perform deliveries as assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Applicants could be requested to work holidays, days, afternoons and/or midnight shifts.

Technical Environment

Must have an in-depth knowledge and at least 5 years of experience with:
