Job summary

BuzzClan seeks a Mainframe Operator to function as a Level 1 Incident Manager. You will monitor critical IT incidents, create and escalate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and track infrastructure availability.

Collaboration with IT teams, customers, and vendors is essential while performing on-site duties in Oakland County, MI. Applicants should have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, IBM Mainframe environments, and monitoring tools such as What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe/IT operations.
• Ability to monitor incidents and perform triage and escalation.
• Experience with monitoring tools and incident management processes.

Job description

Location: Oakland County, MI – 100% Onsite

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Teams
• Experience with IBM Mainframe environments
• Strong knowledge of What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG
• Experience with monitoring systems, infrastructure connectivity, assets, and services
• Ability to monitor mainframe control consoles and assist with JCL validation
• Strong incident management, triage, escalation, and communication skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability for day, afternoon, midnight, and holiday shifts as required
