Job summary

Eitacies Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Operator / Level 1 Incident Manager in Pontiac, MI for an on-site role. The candidate will manage critical incidents with strong communication to IT staff, customers, and vendors, and will monitor infrastructure systems and mainframe consoles.

Experience in incident management, monitoring tools, and the ability to lift 50 pounds are required. Flexible shifts including holidays may be needed to ensure continuous service availability.

Qualifications

• Must have in-depth knowledge with IBM Mainframe and related tools.
• Minimum of 5 years experience across listed monitoring and incident tools.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, on-site incident management environment.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical incidents/events related to IT.
• Create, triage, track and communicate about incidents with IT staff, customers and vendors.
• Monitor availability and status using graphical monitoring systems.
• Observe mainframe control consoles and assist with job control language review.
• Perform deliveries and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Work holidays, days, afternoons and/or midnight shifts may be required.

Job Description

• Functions as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical incidents/events relating to various IT technology.
• Quickly create, escape, triage and track customer technology related incidents. Excellent communication skills necessary to collaborate with IT staff, customers and vendors.
• Utilize graphical monitoring systems tracking availability and status of infrastructure connectivity, assets and services.
• Monitors mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance. May assist with the review/validation of mainframe job control language.
• Perform deliveries as assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Applicants could be requested to work holidays, days, afternoons and/or midnight shifts.

Technical Environment

Must have an in-depth knowledge and at least 5 years of experience with:

• Microsoft Teams, What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, PRTG, IBM Mainframe
