Job summary

York County Government is seeking a mailroom specialist to handle the daily operations of the mailroom. The role supports multiple departments, sorts mail, manages inter-office correspondence, and monitors postage funds while ensuring courteous service to the public and County staff.

Location is in south-central Pennsylvania. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years in a related field, with a PA driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Sort all mail for the proper Department(s).
  • Sort all inter-office mail for the proper Department(s).
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Monitor postage funds on mail.
  • Regularly operate the mail machine.
  • Box presort mail to be shipped to bulk facility.
  • Receive incoming deliveries from FedEx, UPS, etc.
  • Interact with county employees and the public in a courteous, positive manner.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

  • Sort all mail for the proper Department(s)

  • Sort all inter-office mail for the proper Department(s)

  • Responsible to order supplies as needed.

  • Monitors postage funds on mail

  • Regularly operates the mail machine

  • Box presort mail to be shipped to bulk facility

  • Receive incoming deliveries from FedEx, UPS , etc.

  • Interacts with other County employees and members of the public in a courteous, positive and productive manner.

  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.



  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field.

  • A valid PA driver’s license
