Job summary

SPS seeks a Mailroom Associate to provide top-notch mail and shipping/receiving services within the Client Services environment in Herndon, VA. You will process inbound/outbound mail, dispatch packages, and support the on-site Business Service Center with professionalism and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, 2+ years experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accurate records and a neat work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years work experience preferred.
• Flexible, adaptable, and dependable; teamwork.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current knowledge or ability to learn computer-based systems.
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service to all employees.
• Receive inbound mail, sort, and log into chain of custody system.
• Operate mail machines (postage meter, copier, folding/insert).
• Maintain records of receipts and mailing dates.
• Manage outgoing mail and shipping/receiving tasks.
• Notify staff on inbound deliveries and distribute mail.
• Train back-up personnel on policies and procedures.
• Maintain neat Business Service Center area and monitor supplies.
• Build professional relationships with customers and teams.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
