Hoagland & Longo is seeking a reliable Mailroom Clerk to support daily mailroom operations in New Brunswick, NJ. You will distribute mail, process shipments, operate office equipment, and coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Previous mailroom, office services, administrative, or professional office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to attorneys and staff.
  • Prepare and process outgoing U.S. mail, overnight shipments, courier deliveries, and other correspondence.
  • Operate mailroom equipment, scanners, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Track and coordinate incoming and outgoing packages and deliveries.
  • Prepare shipping labels and ensure packages are properly addressed, packaged, and processed.
  • Distribute interoffice mail and documents between departments and office locations as needed.
  • Assist with filing, copying, scanning, document preparation, and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintain an organized and clean mailroom and supply areas.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supplies of postage, envelopes, shipping materials, and other mailroom supplies.
  • Assist with large mailings, bulk correspondence, and firm-wide distributions.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive documents with discretion.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, legal assistants, vendors, couriers, and other staff regarding deliveries and mail.
  • Assist with office errands and occasional local deliveries as needed.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and organized Mailroom Clerk to support the day‑to‑day administrative and mailroom operations of the firm. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, legal documents, and other materials throughout the firm.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, service-minded, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced professional environment.

We are a mid‑sized law firm located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We have satellite locations in Hammonton, NJ, Red Bank, NJ and NYC. We were founded in 1977 as a small and firm and over the years have managed to grow and expand our firm. We are full‑service law firm and are committed to the highest standards of professional competence, innovative thinking, and client advocacy to help make complex legal matters simple to navigate.

We have a little over 100 employees including 60+ attorneys and we are approved counsel for many major insurance carries with a strong focus on complex civil litigation. We also offer a wide variety of legal services across multiple practice areas.

Mailroom Clerk Key Responsibilities
