Job summary

Greno Industries in Scotia, NY, is seeking an experienced machinist to program parts directly from drawings and blueprints, and to handle first-article work on a mix of legacy programs and high-volume aerospace, semiconductor, and aluminum production.

You will set up and run CNC mills and lathes, adjust offsets, troubleshoot issues, and work in either the lathe or mill department. The shop recently added a DN Solutions 5-axis mill-turn and prioritizes turning.

Qualifications

• Able to program parts from drawings/blueprints without assistance.
• Able to handle first-article work.
• Strong blueprint and GD&T reading skills.
• U.S. residency (the shop performs work under a Navy contract requiring citizenship compliance)

Responsibilities

• Program parts directly from drawings and blueprints.
• Make most parts efficiently without assistance.
• Handle first-article work.
• Set up and run CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Set work offsets, tool offsets, and workholding.
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues.
• Work in either the lathe or mill department, cross-trained between the two
