Greno Industries is a 65-year-old, second-generation family business just outside Albany, and Machinist 4s are the shop's top hiring priority right now — three Machinist 4s beats three Machinist 3s, in the owner's own words. You'd be working on a mix of long-standing legacy program work and newer, higher-volume aerospace, semiconductor, and aluminum production, with real ownership of first-article work and a brand-new DN Solutions 5-axis mill-turn machine just coming online. Turning is the shop's top priority, so strong lathe programming experience carries particular weight.
Lathes include Mazak (2/3/4-axis), DN Solutions dual-spindle, and Okuma (mill-turn capable); mills are all Mazak. A DN Solutions DVF-5000 5-axis machine just came online. Controls are Fanuc and Mazatrol. The shop programs primarily in Fusion 360 and Mastercam.
Pay ranges from $35.00 to $43.00 per hour based on experience. This is a full-time, first-shift position with flexible start times.
